SCRAPS: Rapid Prototyping Remains

SCRAPS was a small project undertaken by my roommate and I to make use of laser cutter scraps that seemed to pile up after large projects in studio. We created a table which uses the arbitrarily cut pieces to create an interesting spatial condition when viewing the table from above while also being able to act as shelving. The supports of the table are lasercut pieces of MDF, and the top is quarter inch acrylic. The entire table is supported by gravity and pin connections.
